the power of a damn good pizza

So for the longest time i was very much against CPK( California pizza kitchen). Probably because when it came out, all the trendy rich kids went there and i was semi jealous. so i decided to space myself from said establishment and harbored feelings of resentment. However i decided to have a change of heart and to find out for myself if i had been missing out on anything really important. so with my wife and our baby we went. I have become such a food critic since all i pretty much watch is the food network and seriously couldn't be bothered watching something else. so we ordered the Caribbean jerk chicken pizza. no sooner had i taken my first bite i realized i was in for something deep here. i could not get enough of it. i broke the pizza down explaining to my wife how the different flavors complemented each other very well, so amazingly well in fact it was like a power packed punch to the taste buds. no joke. that may sound a little extreme and far fetched but i tell you no lie my friends it was an awakening. after we had finished the pizza and had finished our avocado bacon spring rolls, we moved on to something i hesitated at first to try but the waiter suggested it and i am always open to new things. The red velvet cake. 3 layers of red velvet cake with a vanilla bean icing and white chocolate flakes. i seriously want to be a food critic!

OK, enough description. needless to say i seriously had an awakening. my life lately has been filled and i mean filled with thoughts of inadequacy and confusion not to mention depression and regret. i am still trying to figure out what i want to do with the life i have been given. some kind of career direction. somewhere i belong and feel comfortable being. i really do want to start a business, the kind not sure of yet. i seriously hate my job, its prison, i only do it because i love my family and want to support them. we are moving up to Utah county shortly as soon as i find a job.

I guess i am blessed and cursed. i have the desire to own my own business because i can see the benefits and also the drawbacks. but compared to being an employee and being told what to do when to do it and how to do it makes me more and more want to get out of the rat race and find something better. i know there is a better life out there for me and my family. i will just have to prove it to myself, my wife and our family. there is nothing wrong with wanting the good things in life as long as you work hard for them and find a way to give back. i do not want to have to struggle through life i do not think anyone does but thats how it is. i just want to work hard and see the benefits of my hard work. i want to own a house and have a good family. these are my goals, and if i do not write/ type them they are only wishes

so to those that actually read this check back soon i will have another refreshing addition to this blog and the blogging world which has become such a great adavtage and mystery
thanks,
Stirling
